Bavarian Itinerary for Late November

I'm starting a new thread, as I have begun the day to day itinerary plans for our trip in November. My husband and I, and our 3 kids (12, 9, and 5) are traveling from the US to Munich on 11/18, arriving on 11/19. We will have 8 full days on the ground, as well as our arrival day. I keep going around and around in circles, as there is SO much I want to squeeze in, and so little time to do it. I recognize that there are probably glaring omissions to this initial itinerary, and I'm hoping to use this as a jumping off point. As always, your feedback is hugely valuable, and I truly appreciate it.

Day 1 (arrival day)-Arrive MUC early AM. Travel to city center, and catch train to Garmische-Partenkirchen. Spend day in town.
Day 2-Zugspitze (stay in Garmische)
Day 3-Oberammergau (either stay final night in Garmische, or travel to Munich in late afternoon/evening)
Day 4-Munich
Day 5-Munich
Day 6-Munich
*Day trip to Fussen and King Ludwig's Castles during stay in Munich. Also considered this from Garmische, but wasn't sure of the logistics.
Day 7-Travel Munich to Salzburg
Day 8-Salzburg
Day 9-Salzburg-Munich
Day 10-Depart for US

Things to note: The order of travel is somewhat inconsequential, though my husband and sons (12 and 9) are strongly in favor of attending the FC Red Bull Salzburg game on 11/25 (Day 7 of our trip). The Christmas markets in Salzburg open on 11/23, while many of the markets in Munich open on 11/27 (our last full day).
