Will you have an auto? Without one it might be difficult to see many of the battle sites. E-mail me your travel options, and I will try to help. We were in the Ardennes this June for 4 days.

Regards,

Jinx Hoover

A good starting base is the town of Bastoigne near the Luxembourg border.

There's an excellent museum devoted to the Battle of the Bulge in (or just outside of) Bastogne. Excellent movies, displays, and a rooftop vantage point from which you can see all the pertinent locales of the battle.

For a good book about the Battle of the Bulge and one that has a lot of good maps, have your library get a copy of John Eisenhower's (yes, the general's son) "The Bitter Woods." This will help a great deal in your planning, coverage, and understanding.
