bathroom question

I am about to confirm a reservation with a hotel that specifies "The toilets are at the floor". Can anyone confirm that this would be the infamous "turkish toilets"? Thanks.

Turkish toilets are generally in public places because they are easy to clean. I doubt you'd find one in a hotel unless it was very down market.

Perhaps if you post the URL for the hotel someone here can see what it says in the original language rather than the English version.

No, that should mean there are toilets on the floor where you are staying (= you don't have a bathroom in your room.)

I believe it means "the bathroom is down the hall shared with others".

They say in French "Les toilettes sont a l'etage". You got the literal translation of it. That's all.

thank you all so much, i am so relieved.

It is actually a convent in Florence. I am renting the single room with shower and they specifically said that state in the email and underlined it so I was concerned.

Very interesting,

It's only in french that they tell you that the toilet is down the hall.

English, German and Italian just mention dining options.

Have the Francescan Missionaries of Mary gotten a business consultant?
