Bath vs. Shower in Paris??

I understand European hotel rooms are larger when they have a bath vs. a shower, and they are more expensive. I am picturing that a room with a bath has a sink, toilet, and a bathtub only meant for taking baths (no showerhead or curtain); and that a room with a shower has a sink, toilet, and a stall shower. Am I correct in this? I am investigating two Parisian hotels in particular, Grand Hotel Leveque, and Hotel Champs de Mars. They both have websites, but still not clear on the bathroom differences.

In the last two years we've stayed in three European hotels. Each had a tub with shower curtain, head, etc. So, the fact that they have bathtubs doesn't mean you can't shower (if that is what the issue is).

Just came back from Hotel Rivoli de Notre Dame where we had a lovely bathroom with tub and shower. It was a hand held shower, but there was no shower curtain or even a rod for one. We managed by constantly facing the shower head toward the wall, but it required concentration. But it is one more experience and funny memory.
I have found that a shower by European standards is NOT a wall mounted shower, rather a hand held one in a bathtub. You can get creative and cozy!!!!!

Patti:
Stayed at the Hotel Champ de Mars. Rooms with baths are bigger than ones with shower. I had a shower and imagine a glass box in the corner with a door that most people would find a tad small. No problem, just don't plan on moving around much.
The room with the tub had a shower nozzle by the soap dish and was MUCH roomier!
The hotel is great! Let me know if I can help you further.

we stayed at hotel champ du mars in their double room with "bath". It is just a bath tub and shower combo verses a stand up shower. It was very narrow but the place is great (my husband fell in the shower actually since it is so narrow and had some nice bruises) You will have a wonderful time at that hotel, the neighborhood is great
