Bath-Sunday or Monday?

Will be in London 12/25-12/31. Looking to take a day trip to Bath. Which day would be better: Sunday (12/28) or Monday (12/29).

Thanks for any help and advise.

If London Walks has a day trip either day, that is the day I would go. London Walks does an excellent job on their day trips. Go to London.Walks.com for the schedule.

Elainee (or anyone else),

Have you done a trip to Bath with London Walks? I have two questions about their trip:

1) What time do you return to London (so I can plan night time activities)?

2) Does the extra tariff cover more than the train fare. London Walks charges 10 GBP for an Explorer Day trip, plus tariffs. The tariff to Bath is an additional 29 GBP. However, I can buy an Apex fare for only 18.75 GBP. So, does the extra 10 GBP cover admissions to places in Bath, like the abbey? Or is this just a higher priced ticket than an Apex fare?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I would go on Monday as most everthing is closed on Sunday (except for the Roman Baths and the Pump Room).

Hi
I'll probably be doing a daytrip to Bath on a Sunday in a few weeks. As far as I can see on Bath websites, none of the sightseeing venues are closed.
Perhaps some of the shops are.

I just purchased a same day return ticket from London for the 18 pounds.
The tourist office in Bath offers walking tours daily.

Once a week, whether I need it or not. (Sorry, I couldn't help myself.)

Nikki, I thought bath night was Saturday night.
