bath hotel recommendations
Can you recommend hotel in downtown Bath that is not too pricey, not on a main road, and still lovely?
Thanks Carolyn & Denis |
Brock's Guesthouse, right between the Circus and Royal Cresent. Great location and the owner, Marian Dodd, is wonderful. Breakfast is terrific. Reasonably priced as well.

In 2005 we stayed at the Kennard Hotel B&B on Henriette Street...very close to Putney Bridge...loved the hotel. They served a beautiful breakfast in a lovely Georgian room. We will definitely stay there again on our next vist. The staff was very, very helpful...our car to London cancelled on us at the last minute and they did everything they could to get us to London in time for our next appointment.
Here's their website: www.kennard.co.uk Hope this helps. |
What do you consider "<i>not too pricey</i>"? Makes a big difference . . . .

Last June we stayed at the Crescent B&B. It is an easy, pleasant walk to the main part of Bath.
John and Gilly were wonderful hosts. It is small and not super fancy but very homey and welcoming. We would definately go back again if we get to Bath again. I see from their web page that prices have gone up and is now 68+ pounds for a double. But I don't know how that compares with other prices this year. www.crescentbath.co.uk Enjoy Bath - lots to see and do. |
I was just there in December and stayed at the Marlborough House www.marlborough-house.net
Very nice rooms and a great breakfast. We paid 65 pounds per night. Bath is a wonderful place and if you have time, rent a car and venture out into the Cotwolds. |
