Bastille Restaurant

Last year we had dinner in a wonderful restaurant in the Marais area. It was a very old Brasserie, a dining room upstairs and I think it was on the Rue Lapin. I would like to find the name of this restaurant to pass it along to friends who are headed there.

Perhaps the Brasserie Bofinger?

I'm still working on finding a Rue Lapin. Any hints?

I couldn't think of a rue Lapin myself, but haven't gone to a map.

Bofinger is on rue de la Bastille, and Chez Jenny, another old brasserie, is on rue du Temple.

Rue Lapin is not on my map, nor is it listed on Pages Jaunes.

Tell us more about this place or describe where it is. I was thinking Chartier, the ancient place with the open upstairs dining room, but not sure that really is what you're talking about -- and it's not near Bastille anyway.

It isn't the Marais area really, but I suspect the poster is referring to the Bistro Les Sans Culottes on rue de Lappe in the 11th. It does have a downstairs and upstairs, and is quite good and very popular.

I've found it. Chez Paul on Rue Lappe
Sorry about the wrong street name in my prior post.
This restaurant has great atmosphere and wonderful food. Not a tourist type restaurant. Mostly locals.
