Basque Country

Best way to travel from Barcelona to Basque Country? Once there, which towns/cities to visit and for how long?

Fly.

In the box above that reads View by Country put in Spain. There have been many conversations about it.

Once you read it, and then describe the time you have, your budget, your interests, and why you want to visit the Basque it will be easier to give educated answers.

In the past I have taken the night train from Barcelona to the Basque Country (San Sebastian) but I am not sure it operates anymore. Check out the RENFE website. Flying maybe easier - I think vueling does Barcelona to Bilbao.

Flying is cheaper and quicker. My wife likes to minimize airplane trips so we take the morning train which is a pleasurable 5 hr. trip.
