Basel to Paris Tickets
 

Hello all,

I need a advice regarding the Train reservation between Basel to Paris(MARNE LA VAL CHES).
For reservations, the local agent here in Muscat is quoting as below

TER Train 96230 BASEL SBB - STRASBOURG (Depart: 12:17 - Arrive: 13:36 )
2nd Class Ind. Open Ticket Adult 42.00 EUR + 30
2nd Class Ind. Open Ticket Child 10.50 EUR + 15

TGI Train 5452 STRASBOURG - MARNE LA VAL CHES (Depart: 14:18 - Arrive: 16:52 )
2nd Cl Leisure 3 Child 33.50 EUR + 15
2nd Cl Leisure 3 Adult 134.00 EUR + 30
*Total Price *220.00 EUR + 90 **

But the sbb.ch is offering the same for 198CHF for 2 adult+1 child.

I have heard that these tickets need to be booked in advance, is it OK if i book these tickets from Zurich Train station on the first day of my arrival(9 days prior)

I suspect that the lower priced tickets must be purchased in advance and are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Prices tend to rise closer to the departure date.

Actually after making those hotel bookings the credit limit has come down on my card, can i use a debit card for the same...

Are you saying that your credit limit is so low that you cannot purchase 198 CHF worth of tickets?

Ah no, actually i made all the hotel booking via my card so, anyways i made the booking it went through
