Bargain in Penznace
We recently returned from a wonderful visit to England and Scotland. One of the highlights was our last stop at the bottom of England in Penzance. We stayed at the charming and ultra friendly Camilla house, run by Bill and Rosemary. The very best part, aside from the ocean view, was wonderful fresh fruit as part of the breakfast, the only fresh fruit we encountered. We used Fodors exclusively and were not disappointed ever. This little gem is truly worth the trip to the tip of England.
Talk about providence--we leave the 21st and will probably be in Penzance the 24th. I pulled up B and B's on Yahoo but appreciate someone who has "done that and been there". Any more suggestions??

Thanks
The Abbey Hotel in Penzance. Great view of the harbor. Wonderful people, food and accommodations. Plan to eat at The Turk's Head on Chapel Street.
Be sure to visit Mousehole (pronounced Mowzel) about three miles from Penznace. Take a taxi or bus, because it is very hard to drive there. It is a beautiful and charming fishing village with beautiful gardens and quaint cottages. Another good place to eat in Penzance is Admiral Benbows Inn. Wonderful sole!
Make sure you check out the wooden pirate perched on top of Admiral Benbow - he is laying down looking for ships in the harbor thru a spyglass
We stayed at Camilla House in September and found it to be delightful. Our visit there was almost like a vacation within a vacation (after having been in London for a week). We had a fine room with a great view and I would gladly stay there again.

Tim
