Bargain housewares shopping in Tuscany

We just bought an apartment in southern Tuscany, in the Val D'Orcia region. I need to purchase some common houshold goods and wonder where is the best place to get some bargains on sheets, towels, small appliances, dishes, etc.

Hi Donna, Upim is sort of like our Target, if there is one close by you might want to check them out. If there is a weekly farmers market nearby sometimes one can get some interesting and good bargains from them. The ones I have been to have had household items besides food. Lucky you, having an apartment in Tuscany sounds divine. Enjoy!

Siena's large weekly market on Wednesday mornings has mostly household items and clothing.

IperCoop is like a Walmart. There is one outside of Firenze, on the road to Lastra a Signa. There are probably others, but that's the only one I know.

Thanks everybody for your help. The outdoor markets are the most fun way to shop, but the Upim and IperCoop sound like just the places I am looking for.
