Barcelona's Best Hotel?
 

I'm going to Barcelona for 6 days and have reservations at both Hotel Claris and Hotel Arts (the ritz carlton). I would like to know anyones opinion of these hotels, b/c i would like to stay in the best place - as far as location and quality of the hotel. Thanks

Arts Hotel hands down!!!

We stayed in Claris two years ago. It is very modern. We had to change rooms twice because they were too small. But location is great, close to metro and the there are a lot of great restaurants around. If I to go again, I would stay in Ritz Carlton for almost the same price. It’s located in the same area.

I stayed in the Claris and loved it. If money is no problem book a two level suite with jacuzzi and sauna. You can see my comments on the Claris in Fodors rants and raves.The hotel and service were great. Hotel Arts is a very large hotel located near the marina , not so central..

Stayed in Hotel Arts last August, had corner room on the 9th floor with the views on Sagrada Familia and port. Magnificent spacious room,bathroom was larger in size then rooms in some hotels. <BR>

What's the price of these rooms? I wouldn't want to pay more than 250 euros. Is this doable at these hotels without getting a room that overlooks the trash cans?

Paul,<BR>I just did a rate search for the Claris for Nov. (weekday-double rm) and found a Utell rate for 217 euros.<BR>Check www.utell.com<BR>At www.hotelbook.com it was 240<BR><BR>The Ritz Carlton may be more.

I found some AMEX internet promotion that was less then $250 for four of us (2 adults + 2 kids) for room with two king size beds with full size pull over bed, truly beautiful room.

Loved the Claris and the location. Rooms were a little small, but great breakfast, and again the location was terrific.
