Barcelona to San Sebastian to Paris
Hi,
My boyfriend and I are on a 2 month backpacking tour around Europe. We are thinking of taking a night bus/train from Barcelona to San Sebastian (6/8hrs) and a night train from San Sebastian to Paris (6hrs).
From my research, the applicable companies for Barcelona-SS is RENFE, FEVE and vibasa? and from SS-Paris, TGV.
Unfortunately none of us can read Spanish or French. Does anyone have advice on these routes? Which is the best company? Are there discounts for students under 26? Should I book my tickets now or book it when I arrive in Spain? I am going there 16 Jul to 31 Jul.
Thanks a lot!

If you are booking the train from Barcelona to San Sebastian-Donostia, then you'll have to use the Renfe.es website. You'll also have to register (using the English language page) before you can purchase your tickets. Since this is the first time using the system, it will not allow you to print the tickets, but you can pick them up when you arrive at the airport in Barcelona. The only thing to remember is to have the same credit card with you that you used to purchase the tickets with, or they will not give them to you.
You can not book the international train from San Sebastian to Paris on-line, but you can buy tickets once in Spain, at the Renfe ticket office in the airport.
The bus can be booked at:

I had forgotten all about the Elipsos web site. It is a joint venture of SNCF and Renfe.
