Barcelona to Paris by train - WIFI reliability?

Hi,

I'm traveling to Barcelona and Paris in October, and I'm considering taking the 6.5-hour train (operated by SNCF) instead of dealing with the hassle of going to the airport and flying. One major advantage of the train is that I could connect to WiFi and work during the journey. However, I've read some reports mentioning that the WiFi connection can be unreliable, which concerns me since I need to attend online meetings during the trip.

Does anyone have up-to-date information on the WiFi reliability on this train and whether it's feasible to work during the 6.5-hour ride?

Thanks in advance for your help!

On SNCF Inoui trains, the wifi works quite well now, which was not the case at the beginning.

Work meaning what?

No matter how good any wifi system is it can be overloaded. People watching movies will be a serious strain on things. If you need a high speed connection you might not be okay.

Usually there are also TOS that may prohibit abusive use. That can mean lower speeds or shorter connection times.

"Want to watch the latest episode of your favourite series, organise a cinema session or transfer a large file during your journey? So that all passengers can use the Wi-Fi for free without experiencing a slowdown in their connection - including you! - we encourage you to download your content before taking the train."

BTW getting back to "work" is your employer okay with you using a public Wifi?

Quality is generally OK but there may be parts of the journey in areas with poor coverage. I think you can check a map while you are on board showing level of quality per sector.
by OK, I mean you can rely on Wifi to browse the Web, send mails, dowload some light files but dont plan a visio conference. I tried once and I had to quit the meeting.
