Barcelona Lodging and Area to Stay in Suggestions for 25 Year Old omen

I am going to Barcelona in September with friends. We are all year old females. What are some good areas of town to stay in? We are looking for something with night life, that is safe and close to Barcelona's attractions.

The Ramblas is the tourist epicenter of Barcelona. I have stayed on and near The Ramblas and for that reason I would not recommend it. And towards the southern end of The Ramblas it gets a bit sleazy at night.

I would stay in the area called the Eixample, which is a bit more upscale but still convenient to most things. Ufortunately I do not have a specific hotel recommendation.

I do, however, like the typo in your title and wonder what will be the outcome of the 25 year old omen.

Ditto what Adu wrote.
There is no one perfect location for nightlife, though. You will find lots of bars in Eixample (near the university), or some in Born.
But the clubs are scattered all over town, a few pretty ritzy clubs on/near the beach. But taxis are cheap, and you will need them to get from A to B at night anyway.

I also agree with Aduchamp1. I like staying in the Eixample District, which is very convenient and central, but also upscale and lively. I feel very comfortable walking in the area, even fairly late at night. It's also good for shopping.

I'm not sure what your budget is. I like the Derby Hotel chain and have stayed at the Astoria before (one of the least expensive in the chain), at around 100 euros per night.
