Barcelona in March

We are visiting Barcelona from 1/4 5/4 Can anyone suggest a good three star Hotel in a very central area but in a reasonably quiet street?

Hotel Rialto at about £55 a night and Hotel Regina @ £72 per night

Hi Jo -

Our favorite place in Barcelona is the Citadines on La Rambla... you can't get more "in the middle of things" :>) It is an "apartment hotel" with two and three room suites with a full kitchen (the wonderful city market is right across the street). We were there last March and got a two room suite for $149 a night... walk out the front dorr and directly onto La Rambla.

We made all arrangements over the net and were very, very pleased... we paid about $100 per night less than the Inter-Continental right across the street. You can walk to EVERYWHERE from that location and you are right between 2 metro stops.

This was our third stay in Barcelona and by far the best location!

Barry

Jo I hope you don't mind me using your thread to ask Barry a question.

Barry - May I ask what your experiences/impressions are of crime in Barcelona (towards tourists)?
