barcelona in june
 

Hey guys! I'm travelling to Barcelona in June and am going to have a bit of time on my own before I meet up with some people. I know the first day I'm there I arrive super early and I'm not able to actually check in until the afternoon - does anyone have any suggestions on things to do while lugging around a suitcase or what to do with it? I've heard about lockers you can rent, but not sure how secure they are.

You can check your suitcase at your hotel. We do it all the time.

The lockers are secure, but as already noted, drop off your luggage at your hotel. On second thought, why not book the hotel one day ahead of time. The room will be waiting for you when you arrive. Much better then walking around for several hours, jet legged (?) and needing some rest.

Since it's not a hotel we're staying at, we actually don't have access to the room/building until later that day, or that's definitely what I would do.

Perhaps bring your suitcase down to the Barceloneta city beach and have a breakfast in one of the many small seafront cafes (chiringuitos). The people in the bar/cafe can of course also take care of your suitcase while you relax on the beach and take in the rise of the bustling life down here through the morning and noon. Come back for lunch, and you'll have friends here for the rest of your stay ;-)
