barcelona in 36 hours

feel free to refer me to a thread if this has been asked and answered. We arrive friday 5pm from LA via Paris, and leave on a cruise Sunday at 4pm. We are staying at Casa Fuster. 3 couples, mid 40's. Should we see sites via walking, hop on/off bus, taxi or private hire driver. What are the top sites that are must sees?

To see the maxiumum with three couples I would definetely recommend a guide..We hired Auriello, english speaking driver and he was fantastic.. We saw more of Barcelona in one day than the average tourist seems in a week ... with a surprise of seeing by accident a Piccaso Nativity Wall Muralwhile looking at something else...for more info [email protected]

I'd recommend the Gaudi sights--Casa Battlo, Casa Mila, La Sagrada Familia, and Parc Guell. Stroll Las Ramblas Friday evening.

I went to Barcelona a couple of years ago. I spend 4 days there I think but I found this list incrdeibly useful.

We found the hop on/off bus excellent and good value.
