Barcelona hotels referral needed
 

I will be ending a Mediterranean cruise in Barcelona June 5. Would like hotel recommendations for 2-3 nights. Mid-range, maybe 3 star? Something interesting, boutique, with breakfast - thanks.

We enjoyed staying at the K&K Picasso. The breakfast was good and the location was perfect. It is in the Old Town a few blocks from the marina. There are many excellent restaurants within walking distance and the Hop On Hop Off bus stop is right outside.

Many years ago we stayed at the Hotel Colon.,, right across from the cathedral. Since then other Fodorites have reported nice stays there.
It was convenient to the ancient quarter, rooms were fine (maybe have been upgraded since our time.)

Last fall we stayed at Hotel Catalonia Portal de l'Angel. Great location between the Plaça de Catalunya (where the airport bus stops) and the cathedral. Nice breakfast and pleasant outdoor area with a small pool. Very comfortable room.
