Barcelona Hotels-Confused!

We are a family of 4-2 adults and 2 kids aged 16 and 10 looking for somewhere interesting to stay in Barcelona. We want more of a boutique hotel feel in a great location with nice restaurants and shops nearby.Hotels we are currently considering are Casa Camper,Hotel Banys Oriental, Hotel Constaza,Hotel Jazz,Hotel-B.Can anyone help us decide? We would like the area to be safe and not too noisy. There seems to be a plethora of wonderful choices so any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Shooshy

We did not stay in a hotel in Barcelona..we rented an apartment since we were two couples.

However, I did see the Banys Oriental and was impresssed. Have you seen the web site? It is very interesting. It is in the Gothic quarter, on a tree lined street with no traffic. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there. And, yes there are shops and restaurantts nearby.

What kind of a budget are you thinking of?

The Hispanos 7 Suiza has a junior suite (4 people) and is a fully equipped apartment. It's listed on the "inns of Spain" web site (http://www.innsofspain.com/hotelview.aspx?h=1266) and has one of their hightest ratings.

Another open is the Hotel Neri (http://www.innsofspain.com/hotelview.aspx?h=1206), another top rated hotel with only 22 rooms in the Barrio Gotico de Barcelona.

CASA CAMPER IS AWESOME!!!!!! I absolutely love that place! I have suggested it to friends and relatives and have been inside the rooms, which are conceptually very cool and practical. It is well located and no very expensive. Your kids will love it! So will you. . . it is tasteful novelty.
