Barcelona Hotel/Hostel

Hello,

We are searching for a budget hotel/hostel in Barcelona yet somewhere we will be comfortable (preferably not a noisy youth hostel).

Thank you.

I've been perfectly happy staying at basic and good value Hostal Orleans. On the edge of the vibrant El Born area with some of the best cafés, tapas bars and sights in town. Close to everything and ten mins walk to the Barceloneta beach: http://www.hostalorleans.com/

My recent stays in Barcelona have been at quite centrally located budget hotels and nice hostles. I paid low season rates of between € 30 - 45. What is your budget? And rates can vary a lot depending on when you are going.

In Spain a hostal is different from a youth hostel in other parts of the world. A hostal is more like a pensione in Italy. You might consider those as well as 2* hotels.

But in the summer do check to be sure they have AC - not all do and it is HOT!
