Barcelona Hotel
 
Two families each with child 7/8 yo need hotel in Barcelona for 2-3 nights. Any suggestions for quiet, moderate priced hotel August 10-12?

They are, but in this case it sounds to me like the advice involved should be very useful for this traveller.

My wife and I just stayed at the Hotel Continental for 70 Euros a night. It's a clean, comfortable, family friendly hotel with a perfect location on La Rambla, a few steps from Placa Catalunya, where you can catch city buses, tour buses, the metro, trains, and the Aerobus (to/from El Prat Airport). The hotel offers a very good continental breakfast and complimentary beverages all day. The only minor drawbacks are that the rooms are small and no bar soap is provided. But we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Please see:
