Barcelona, Girona??
 

Hi All, my family and I have booked 10 days in Salou in June. Our flight home leaves from Girona at 10am. Just wondering will we get transport to the airport from salou this early in the morning??

Did you ask your hotel in Salou?

Just a note: Salou is a long way from Girona, nearly 200 km distance, a little over two hours drive.

You can take a train from Salou to Girona and a shuttle from the station to the airport.
Maybe you should consider spending the night in Girona. There is a decent hotel just in front of the airport. If you are interested, I'll find their e-mail address for you. Have it somewhere....

Well have four kids with us though so maybe a hotel wouldnt be an option, any other ideas welcome, if we opted to stay in barcelona is it far from Girona?

It is a 2**, just in front of the airport. Las time I was there, the room was €65 + taxes. Breakfast is not included but there is a cafeteria on the ground floor. Book as early as possible.

Barcelona is approx. 90 km from Gerona - 1 hour drive.

Hi ,Barcelona is still about an hour away from Girona. I would pick some where closer just for the peace of mind. The traffic out of Barcelona is unpredictable too. Look into toprural they had several properties in the Girona area that were reasonably priced

Hi again, forgot to mention that we wont be hiring a car, just wondering about public transport to the airport.
