Aren't these all commuter trains? I don't understand why you want to buy tickets in advance and not just use the ticket machines at stations? Or are not there any easy way to buy tickets and you have long lines? Seems like these are just like RER in Paris? Just curious.

We just used the suburban network you are probably speaking of to travel from Barcelona to Montserrat. There is absolutely no need to purchase any of these tickets in advance; the ticket machines are easy to use and offer an English language option.

Why would Dougal need advice about trains when he wants to buy tickets to a 'Soccer' game? :-D |
Woops thought it was talking about the Barcelona FC train line, at least i believe that's what the suburban train system is called. Call me stupid!

What the hell are the 2 previous posters talking about? This is a question about Barcelona Football Club tickets.
To the OP, You will always have a chance to purchase tickets from scalpers at the stadium. Always a very reasonable($) option. Also Google for soccer ticket brokers, but that will be the expensive way to go. |
It is not easy to get them... most of the seats are taken by season pass holders, a few are given to the visiting team, and sometimes a few are for sale. I lived in Barcelona for two years, and it was common wisdom that the only way to go was to find a season pass holder that was not going to attend a game, or pay through the nose to a scalper.
Oh, and the trains are the FGC, Ferrocarils de la Generalitat de Catalunya. |
