Barcelona dining

We are going to be staying in Barcelona for 5 nights in November before going on a cruise.

One of the members of our party does not eat seafood. <sigh>

Could anyone recommend restaurants that specialize in steak, chicken, pasta... basically other than seafood?

I really appreciate it!
Thanks...

Most seafood restaurants have non-seafood alternatives. No need to limit yourself because of one picky eater.

Great... thanks MikeT.

No place in particular you would suggest though for the combo?

No specific recs but if you are at all interested in dining outdoors you might at least consider one of the restaurants on Las Ramblas Catalunya....that's on the OTHER (the upper) end of Las Ramblas from where the bird sellers, shell games, etc., take place.

We have had some good dining experiences there on our several Barcelona visits.

And I would agree that in many places there will be a variety of items available.

i must say barcelona is a major food capital of the world, seafood being it's main staple. you should prepare your friend for this. most menus w/have alot of non seafood options of course (fresh veggies, cheese, tomato, olive oil, yum!!) but under no circumstances should you miss any dining experience in barcelona! it will be your friend that will have to be flexible in this case.

you should go to:
cal pep
vineria del cal
salteria
cafe majo (?) big, place right on the beach...
