Barcelona Apartment New Years

Suggestions on what area of Barcelona to stay for 4 days over New Years 2008. Looking to rent an apartment. Art, Food, Shopping, Fun, but something with luxury and quiet. Family or 4, daughter age 21, son 18. Will also be in Madrid Dec 24-26 and Seville area Dec 26-30. Too many choices, not enough time. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks so much for your help. for your help.

Just received an email from the Derby Group regarding their new Lofts and Apartments that you may want to check out. The look pretty nice, if not basic.

Hi,

I'm going to Spain in March (I know, talk about advance planning, but I'm going with my parents, who are much less traveled and less seat-of-the-pants than me!) and I have booked an apartment through this site:

www.habitatapartments.com

Found it through a recommendation on this site. Of course, all I can comment on at this point is: a fantastic, user friendly site; reasonable prices, great locations and great looking apartments and many have lots of recent reviews by renters.

Furthermore, I am quite satisfied with my communications with the company. Immediate email confirmation, followed by a confirmation the next day from a customer service rep(?)...who even replied to my "Thank-You" email!

Hello, my friends are coming to visit me for New Year and they stay in an apartment in the Gothic Area, which is pretty nice. The booked it with the website Barcelonapoint, as my parents, who visited me before, booked a nice hotel via this site. They were very confident with their customer support and the whole booking process and recommend it, so maybe there you can find something suitable as well.

Hello

Barcelona is a good choice for New year. There are a lot of parties and people on the street. Moreover the approximity to the sea is exceptionell for passing nice days on New Year. We passed some days in april in Barcelona and stayed in an apartment of CocoonBarcelona. They offer nice apartments in the city center and by the beach. So have a look on their website www.cocoonbarcelona.com to see fotos of the apartments. They offer a friedly service.

Have a nice stay in Barcelona
