Barcelona apartment location & Subway?
Hello!
I've searched high and low for the perfect apartment location in Barcelona. I think I found a great location for a great price. I have details on exactly where the apartment is and I'm wondering if someone could re-assure me that this location would be a good spot to walk to most of the sights in Barcelona. I'm also wondering if there is a subway line close by.
Here's the description: The apartment is located in the front of the Ritz hotel in the crossover between Gran Via and Roger de Lluria. From the map provided on the website for this apartment, it looks like it's on Gran Via & 2 blocks east of Passeig De Gracia.
Thank you!

We were in Barcelona last week, and walked into the Ritz Carlton (my son wanted to see what a 5* hotel looked like). As I recall, we were at the metro stop within 2 or 3 blocks from there.
Based on our visit, no one spot would be best to walk to most of the sights in Barcelona, as some are pretty far afield. But that location should allow you to visit many of them, and you'll be near some nice spots for people-watching at walking around at night.

Public transport in Barcelona (TMB):

Don't forget the buses (and the night buses - in Catalan that's Nitbus).

al_philly,
Here's the link to the apartment we're looking at. However, we're in Barcelona for 3 nights and we were told the min. night stay for this apartment is 4 nights. The location is really great, so I emailed saying they could charge us more for not staying 4 nights and we haven't heard back from them. It's been 2 weeks now. Hopefully, you will have better luck.
