StCirq YOU'RE A SAINT! Non-stop Barcelona to Avignon..in UNDER 4 hours...BRILLIANT! I didn't find it...I'm still a novice with rail travel. We did it last year in Switzerland and Italy and I was always amazed at myself when we got on the right train.

Is there a train schedule for Dummies?

Here's a stupid question...Do we gain anything by buying a EuroRail Select Pass? I realize we'd still need to make reservations for certain treks.

I will check out captainetrain and mark my calendar!

NO, no, no, do not buy any rail pass whatsoever!

If you tell me what day you are traveling, how many people, what ages, whether you want 2nd or 1st class (no need for 1st class IMO), I'll figure this out for you.

That would be fantastic! Should I give you info now even though I can't purchase til 92 days out...or contact you closer to the trip? Right now we're a confirmed group of 6...but there could be up to 4 more.

There's no way to send a private message on Fodors, unfortunately, but you can email me at StCirq at aol dot com when you know the details and I'll be happy to help you out. Or if you need anything in the meantime.

Thank you so much. I obviously do not know what I'm doing. I just tried on both the websites you mentioned and I cannot find the 3 hr 48 min train...nor a non-stop.
I have us leaving from Barcelona Sants to Avignon Centre....I just plugged in random dates.

WAIT! Just tried it again from Barcelona Sants to Avignon TGV and got a non-stop leaving at 16:45 (too late)...3 hrs 58 min.

So I will definitely need your help unless I can figure it out between now and then!

Thanks again for the offer. I'll get back with you the first part of August. Our trip is in November.
