Barcelona Airport to Hotel Colon
 

Hi All!<BR>Does anyone know how far it is, what the best mode of transportation is and what the costs might be from the Barcelona airport to the Hotel Colon?<BR>The hotel is across the street from the Cathedral.<BR>We are 4 travelers with luggage for a cruise.<BR>Thanks!<BR>Crowsie

&quot;Best&quot; as in cheapest would be taking the Metro from the airport (easy to get to) to Placa de Catalunya, and then a taxi to the Hotel Colon. <BR><BR>&quot;Best&quot; as in easiest would probably be to take a taxi, or some other form of more personal transport, from the airport to the hotel. <BR><BR>The hotel may also have some kind of a shuttle bus.

Crowsie,<BR>When alone, I take the Aerobus to the Placa Catalunya then taxi. The Aerobus is <BR>extremely convenient, quick (about 25 min. in heavy traffic) and cheap, plus no long walk with bags to the airport train station. <BR> <BR>When traveling with friends/family we just grab a taxi. Last summer on several airport-hotel runs I paid no more than 22 euros. <BR>According to the official airport page<BR>(www.aena.es), the taxi fare should run about 20-22 euros, including the supplement charged for an airport run.<BR>Then add on ,85 euros per bag carried in the trunk. Forgot!<BR>The aerobus costs 3,45 and departs every 12 min.<BR>The cercan&iacute;as train costs 2,20, leaves every half hr. and takes 23 minutes to reach the Placa Catalunya.
