Barcelona
I will be flying into Barcelona in the mid morning and boarding a cruise ship the next morning. I don't know Barcelona at all and was wondering if I could get some recommendations on where to stay for the night and be able to walk around and have great food!! I would like to spend an equivalent of 100 to 150 USD for the night.

When will you be going? We got some phenomenal rates for hotels in mid-March, but by May/June they could be higher. Check out Banys Oriental or Ciutat Barcelona in El Born area of Roommate hotels for BCN in the Eixample area. Both are great areas for wonderful food. We just returned from a week there and I hope to get going on my trip report this week. BCN is a fantastic city.

We stay at Hotel Jazz - http://www.hoteljazzbarcelona.com/. It is near Las Ramblas and the taxi stand. It is clean and resonably priced. You will need a taxi to the cruise ship, but because there is a long bridge out to the cruise ship dock, you will really want the taxi. We will be back in October - you will have a great time.
