Barcelona - 2 nights

Hello,

My daughter (21) and I traveling throughout Europe for 10 nights, ending in Barcelona for the last two nights (4/10 and 4/11). She and I would like like some help in deciding where to look for hotels. We both are interested in night life, museums and shopping. Would you recommend one location over another. Also, what hotels would you recommend in that location.? Being that we are only there for 1 full day, we will not be travelling outside of the city limits. Are there any "must do"s while we are there? Any particularily good restaurants. One last thing, any one night life place that you would recommend that would wow my daughter and make me a hero for the experience? Thanks much for any and all suggestions. Patti

If you scan Spain for the last two months you will see that all questions have asked and answered many times.

There's a relatively new hotel in Barcelona called Hotel ME ( http://www.me-barcelona.com/ ). I haven't stayed but we did go to a club they have called Angels and Kings which seemed to be a hot spot in the area. Seems like it would be a pretty good option for a good place to stay and nightlife in one.

Good luck!

For people looking for nightlife, I would recommend that your budget include money for a taxi back to your hotel, no matter where you stay (unless it's the above suggestion), and most certainly if you stay in the Barri Gotic.

Thank you wrldtrv and zeppole for your replies. I ended up booking an apartment near the Ramblas. Weather looks great in Barcelona for the time in which we will be there. Leaving today for Brussels. Thanks again. Patti
