Bamberg hotel
 

I am having a hard time trying to find a hotel in Bamberg for Sept. 30-October 2, 2006. Any help out there?

There are several that come to mind. Messerschmitt's is directly on the Langestrasse, which is a great location for traipsing around the old town and downtown. The restaurant is very good as well. It's part of Romantik Hotels group. Their website indicates that they recently added on an extensive addition. I will be staying there is August. You can check out their website at www.hotel-messerschmitt.de. The Bamberger Hof Bellevue is right across the street on Schoenleinsplatz. Another good choice is the Hotel Residenzschloss which is on the Regnitz River near the symphony hall (www.residenzschloss.com). All include breakfast.

We stayed at Hotel Brudermuhle in February 2005. It is situated in the old part of the town and some rooms have views of the river and the centuries-old town hall.

My appologies to you! I thought my post from yesterday had disappeared. I tried searching for it by my screen name & otherwise but could not find it. When I tried the hrs website, it did not show Bamberg, Germany.

Did you use www1.hrs.de? You can also try www.hotel.de and www.tourisline.de or go to www.bamberg.info and send to individual hotel.
