Here are some customer reviews on Tripadvisor if you haven't seen this yet to get you started:

I have stayed there numerous times and really like it. The rooms are comfortable, location close to Paddington rail and tube. Breakfast good and staff nice. I have written about this hotel several times on the board. Try a search for Balmoral House Hotel on this site. You could also click on my name abovre and see what comes up. I posted about it a good bit before we registered so you would get more hits searching Balmoral House Hotel.

thank you so much for your input....has anyone stayed at the Martel house in golders green?

On your other thread we pointed you towards reasonably priced university lodging for your 1 month's stay and here you have good response re a hotel in Paddington.

And now you are asking about a hotel up at Golders Green.

Golders Green is up northeast of Hampstead Heath and a looooooooong way from anywhere except the Brent Cross shopping center and the M1 motorway to the north of England.

What sort of place are you actually looking for?

i did some research re: university stays...thank you for the info....Their availability for twins is limited...but via email they all promised to get back to me. I find the tripadvisor reviews confusing, because one persons experience can differ radically from another's. the martel house was recommended by a friend of a friend. I do appreciate very much the input. thank you....I am looking for a month's stay late july through late august, for two (twin beds) reasonably close to central london via public transport. Would like to spend $3000 mo US.
