Balmoral Castle

Have reservations at Connachat Cottage in July 2003., any suggestions sites to see, a good restaurant in Ballater. We also will be renting a Van in Aberdeen and plan to play some golf and sightsee. There will be 6 adults.

Oddly, there are a few good restaurants in Ballater. The Glen Lui is nice.

Sightseeing in that area is nearly all scenery. Try Glen Tanar, Burn o' Vat. Dinnet Loch, the stone circle at Tarland (Tomnaverrie?), Glen Muick, Lochnagar Distillery.

Where is Connachat Cottage?

Connachat cottage is situated WEST of the Cstle, near the middle of the Balmoral Beat of the river Dee. It faces South on the edge of the Ballochbuie Forest..From what we have been told its about 3 miles for the post office at East Balmoral..Thanks again for your assistance.

If you're reading this, Jim, I have the golf bookings made for 11.15 next Saturday. I'm in Brussels midweek, but the mobile number should work.

Check out Donnotter castle on the way to Aberdeen in Stonehaven.
Lots of great restaurants in Aberdeen, The Ardoe House just outside of Aberdeen is extremely good. You must have fish and chips at the Ashvale.
Via Milana is a great Italian one, and Kury is a great Indian one in Aberdeen. Have fun, I love Scotland! (My fiance lives there)
