Ballooning

I am leaving for France(Bordeaux & Provence)in August and want to know if anyone has any information on ballooning in these areas? Any info would be appreciated.

Bankerboy:

The only ballooning place I have any personal knowledge of is in the Dordogne, which is a long trip from Bordeaux, but if you go to www.google.com and plug in Ballooning Bordeaux or Montgolfier Bordeaux, you'll get plenty of information.

I will post a trip report later this evening with full details, but on a short trip at the end of June, I went ballooning in Paris. Great fun, only 10 euros, and and no waiting in line (i.e. Eiffel Tower) or climbing endless stairs (i.e. Arc de Triomphe or Notre Dame) to get a spectacular view of the city.

Ballooning is also available in the Loire Valley

In 2000 I was in Loire Valley. Priced ballooning there and decided against it at a cost of $250 per person.
