Bags on Bordeaux trams

Our apartment in Bordeaux is some distance from the railway station, but it is reasonably close to a tram stop. We would like to take a tram from the station to the apartment. Are the trams suitable for carrying cases, or is this likely to be a nuisance to other passengers? We will have a medium-sized case each, plus smaller hand bags (carry-ons).

The locals do it all the time. You think only tourists have luggage. Trams don't have luggage so you have have to hold your luggage on your lap or stand next to it. Not a big deal and nobody will be unhappy with you having luggage on public transit.

Coming from the railway station, there will be many people waiting for the trams with their luggage.

Have coins ready for the tram ticket machines.

Merci. (Trying to get into the habit).

The trams are brand new so that there is only one low step to get on them.
