Bags like Vera Bradley in Paris?
These are big among college students, and my d would like to replace her worn-out one but is not so happy with the patterns available at the moment (either at stores or on Ebay). Since we are about to go to Paris, we are wondering whether there are shops there selling laptop-size quilted bags made of Provencal fabric. I did a search here and find that it's called indiennes and it's available as fabric, but we are looking for a bag already made.

I've seen the bags all over Provence but have never looked for them in Paris. However, some of the large department stores carry regional items, and I'm sure there are specifically Provençal shops. If not, I can send you some web sites that carry a variety of bags.
Now, if you were going to Nice...

There are two shops in Paris that that carry high-quality Provencal items. One is Soulieado in St. Germain. I don't remember the name of the other, also in St. Germain area, but if you did a search for shopping in Provence you may find the name. Or ask at your hotel.
I was in Provence last year and print quilted bags and backpacks are everywhere so I'm sure one of the Paris shops would carry them.

Les Olivades on rue de Seine carries all those wonderful fabrics. Their website is www.les-olivades.com
It is near the rue de Buci shopping/market area.
