Baggage tip

Drop baggage at departure gate. Return rental car. Hire on-site help to deliver baggage to counter. $1 per bag. Suggestion from very practical friend.

And then what happens to the bags? The "on site help" stays with the bags? Where do you find "on site help"? Departure gate?

Even more practical for some here:

Drop baggage and DW at departure gate
Return rental car
Watch as DW who insisted on packing all your worldly goods struggles to get the bag to the ticket counter
No charge
Laugh to yourself as you think up new posts.

I resemble that last post!! ;o)

Even if you could hire "on-site" help, how would you answer the question you are asked at the counter about whether your bags have been out of your possession?

francophile03 Jul 10th, 2005 10:09 AM

I agree with Betsy. Nowadays do you really want to have your bags out of you possession at any time? Sorry, I don't consider this a good tip at all.

This "very practical friend" sounds like a nitwit to me.

And even IF this made sense, since this is on the Europe board I assume you mean at a European airport. Do you honestly intend to give $1 (as opposed to €1 or £1) per bag?????
