Celtic, lucky you. I hope you'll check in with us from time to time and be our Tour correspondent. Have a GREAT trip!

Robert Heras also got picked off with this screening.

Heras used to be the top lead rider for Armstrong in the mountains. Now with the Armstrong claims, it muddles this issue.

In any case, Heras was a good rider.

walkinaround >>> You're right. I'm wrong. Guess I've always thought of it as a more 'global' company than American.

Will try Cat.

I'll try to check in from time to time, I don't bring a computer so I'll do my best to find internet cafes.

At the very least I'll post a report when I return.

I'm a big proponent of packing light but for this trip we have a ridiculous amount of luggage.
3 largfe duffel bags 30 inchers
1 bike box
2 rollerboards

All the camping gear takes up an incredible amount of space. It's embarassing.

I think that last post was meant to go somewhere else.

Should be a pretty interesting time to be following the sports pages in France, with the start of the Tour under these circumstances, and then the upset victory of Les Bleus over the favored Brazil soccer team yesterday!

Good time to take a peek at LeMonde (or others) to pick up on some of the fervor!

Underhill, Celticharper is talking about what they are taking since they are leaving today to follow the tour.
