Bad knees in Oia. What's a good hotel choice? Atlantidas Villas?

We've decided we want to stay in or around Oia, but one of the women in our group has bad knees. So many of the hotels in Oia seem like they might pose some physical challenges because of the terrain. Are any hotels better choices than others in this regard? We've been thinking about the Atlantidida Villas based on the good reviews on Tripadvisor. However, there are a few comments on this forum expressing concern that some of the Tripadvisor reviews were posted by its owner/manager. Has anyone stayed at Atlantidas Villas recently and would you recommend it? It seems to have the amenities we want -- a pool and and nice views -- but I'm also wondering whether the walk to and from town will be too much for our friend with bad knees. Any suggestions? Many thanks in advance for your help.

Several reviews of Atlantida were fraudulently posted by the owner/manager. We caught him red-handed stealing reviews from other hotels and altering them where necessary to fit his property. One was even from a hotel next door!

Some other hotels with only a few steps include Aspa Villas, Olympic Villas, Museum Spa Hotel and Old Oia Houses.

Thanks, Brotherleelove. Do you have a specific recommendation among these places? We would really like nice views, peace and quiet and a pool. Many thanks.

Aspa and Olympic have a view and a pool, the others do not.

Thanks for this clarification! I definitely find it objectionable for hotel owners to place their own reviews on Tripadvisor. That issue aside, is Atlantida Villas a nice place to stay or are there better places? Would the walk to and from Oia be difficult for someone with bad knees? Stairs and climbing seem to be the main problem for our friend.

I don't have an opinion about the quality of the rooms at Atlantida. I will say that it's about a 20-25 minute walk into the heart of Oia and some of that walk is along the main road with no sidewalks so there'll be traffic and uneven ground from time to time. Aspa and Olympic are about 10 minutes' closer in.

You might also contact Strogili Houses and Rimida Villas. Explain your situation and ask about a room with the least amount of steps to see what they have to offer. There are websites.
