My boyfriend and I are flying into Venice on July 10 and are planning to backpack Italy and then down through Greece. We are planning on spending three weeks to a month in each place. We are wanting to hit the main cities.. Venice, Florence, Pisa, Rome.. etc. We are young and not really into seeing churches.. galleries.. etc.. we are more wanting to explore.

Have you got any suggestions on which places are the most exciting to visit? Also what is the best way to get from Italy to Greece ( best meaning least expensive/easiest)

And also we have been looking into how much it is going to cost us.. has anyone does this and approx how much did it cost for two people (including food, entertainment, travel (not flights into Europe))
