Back from Rome
 

We have just returned from 10 wonderful days in Rome (with a side trip to Florence). Thank you all for your earlier help in planning and all of the great tips and odds and ends ideas that I found on this forum.

We rented an apartment from SleepItaly and it was great. We shopped at the market that set up every morning a block from our door, bought cheese, wine and odds and ends at the little store close by and just had a wonderful time.

We just took off every day with our map exploring. The most wonderful experience was after getting lost, looking up and seeing the profile of the Colosseo in the distance.. it was out of this world!

We stayed very close to Piazza Navona, enjoyed gelato every night and watched sunsets that my husband and I will never forget.

Bravo to all of you for braving the world, enjoying life and passing on tidbits to the rest of us!
