Back from Naples
Buon giorno,
We just got back from three weeks in Italy. I would like to thank the people who advised me about Naples and the safety there. I was just as cautious as I would be in any large city. I never felt threatened, and we were really surprised as to how unthreatening it was. We stayed near the Piazza Municipo, which was about three hundred meters from the port, and around the corner from the Galleria. The location was perfect. We walked everywhere and saw everything. The Neopolitans were hospitable and funny. We had a ball. All that Naples needs to do is get a hand on the graffiti and clean up a bit. It has almost as much to offer as Rome, and definitely more than Paris or the other serious tourist cities. Ciao, Alberto |
Alberto I wanted to hear someone tell me Naples was friendly and non-threatening because I want to spend a week there in February. Thank you so much! I think you've sealed the decision to go and spend our 44th Anniversay wandering about Naples.

What were your top five favorite places in Naples?

;-) ;-) You should engage in drug trafficing or cigarette smuggling to get their atention. We "ordinary" people are not of interest to them, unless were at the wrong place at the wrong time. |
Hi Tim,
Another vote for visiting Naples. Details in my trip report: http://www.fodors.com/forums/threads...p;tid=34451044 ((I)) |
