Hey guys. Sorry it took me a while to write again, been crazy busy with work, the past several weeks. I also got into a car accident, but I’m ok now, and so is my sexy car :-)
Ok, looks like I’m getting flack from some folks for being honest about my colorful time in Paris, so from now on, I’ll sensor all the steamy stuff ;-)
---------
The following day was Friday. I changed my original plans a bit and this day, I did Louvre and Notre Dame. I did this, because I realized, that this was going to be a full moon night, and being a Friday, Louvre would be open till 9:45PM. If weather was clear, this should give me some amazing nighttime picture opportunities!
While getting in at the Louvre, everyone around was looking happy, excited, taking pictures, pointing at things, laughing, talking, having a great time. It was a bright sunny day and the place had huge groups of tourists with their fancy camcorders/video cameras.
I am not really that into museums, but this was the Louvre! Made my way downstairs and picked a line, still looking around sort of amused at all the hustle and bustle around me. It was then that I noticed this slightly older lady walking toward the direction of my line. She had this calculated walk and a nonchalant look on her face, her eyes slowly scanning the floor, one side to the other, then back. I said to myself, “what’s she doing here, she looks like she’s not really into it”. I then laughed at myself quietly, I mean, I’m here alone by myself, and I’m judging others around me. That's just lame. Anyways, she came and stood in line behind me.
The line was moving fast and I had the money in my hand, ready to get my ticket. I felt it was too hot inside, and I would be walking a lot; so I put the money back in my back pocket, took my jacket off and put it back in my daypack. The line was moving forward so I reached out to get the money out of my pocket. The money was gone. And so was the lady behind me.
Climbed the stairs at Notre Dame, took only 40 mins of standing in line and the views from up top were awesome. Don't miss this and don't get scared off from the long line, it's not bad at all, really.
I did come back to the Louvre at night for pictures. Yes, it was a clear night. And yes, I did get to take some badass (to me, at least) pictures at night.
