Back from Madrid - thank you!!
 

Hola!

DH and I returned last night from our wonderful 10 day trip to Madrid. Un-eventful (no trauma, no drama), yes, but without our share of "mistakes", no. :-)

Once I get my act together I will write a trip report but, in the meantime, wanted to thank everyone on this board who either directly or indirectly helped make our trip a success.

We loved Madrid--if it weren't for the cats and job I think we would have stayed on there is so much to see and take in. We felt so comfortable in the city and enjoyed being part of it if only for a short time. We spent two nights in Toledo and took a day trip to El Escorial. Unfortunately, 10 days just wasn't enough time for us to see all that we had hoped to.

We were totally engaged by Madrid--the museums, parks, art and architecture, the food, people, tile work... definitely one of our favorite trips to date.

Glad to hear someone loved Madrid ( as we did) and spend more than ( usual) 3 day with 2 side trips in that great city.
