"stuff" in Paris?

I think you have two identical posts on here with the same title, a few minutes apart.

There was a recent thread on here with some ideas on this same topic, perhaps you can find it. I know the name Bonpoint is mentioned in it, so just type bonpoint into the search box, with France.

I don't recall the exact suggestions, but have read the the major dept. store Galeries Lafayette has just opened a large new children's dept., half with designer stuff (Kenzo, Dior, etc) and the other half regular brands and some furnishings.

Bonpoint is expensive, but some other chains for kid's clothing (as well as the dept. stores) are:

Du Pareil au Meme (www.dpam.fr) and Cyrillus (www.cyrillus-paris.com), as well as Bonton (www.bonton.fr).

Those websites should give you some addresses. Cyrillus has a store at 11 ave Duquesne in the 7th, for example. Bonton has a store at 82 rue de Grenelle, 7th arr.

I bought a fine baby for 300 euros at a cafe on Rue St. Sulpice.

I think if you just start walking around St. Germaine, especially the streets south of Blv. St. Germaine, around the Mabillon Metro stop, you will find quite a few "boutique" baby stores, some of which are not necessarily that expensive. There wasn't anything we purchased in Paris, even at "list Price" that was not quite a bit cheaper than in the states

Natalys is wonderful! There is a branch on Rue St. Antoine near the entrance to the Place des Voges.

bbonz:
I shopped all over France for "vetements pour l'enfant". My niece's little girl was 6 months old.

I found two things her Mommy loved. One was a little pink "muffin" hat (Galleries Lafayette). She put it on her nearly every day that winter and everywhere they went people had a fit over her "chapeau".

The other was a little satin pillow with a tiny slit. It hangs on a pretty pink ribbon and embroidered on the front it says "Mon Premier Dent"...my first tooth. It wasn't expensive, but I love it.

Tartine et Chocolate, on Blvd. St. Germain, near the 6th-7th "border". One of my favorites for babies.

Jacadi, on Blvd. St. Germain, not far from Tartine et Chocolat, to the east.

Bonpoint, mentioned above, has beautiful and expensive clothing.

Don't forget to look in Galeries Lafayette, which has several "boutiques" within the children's dept. You get the 10% shoppers' discount (on some, but not all brands) plus detaxe, if you qualify with enough purchases. 175 euro, I think? Not hard to do! :-)

Petit Faune on rue Jacob.

Pom d'Api for shoes; there's a shop on rue du Four, in the 6th.
