I'm looking for B&B or quaint hotel recommendations for Inverness/Lochness and Edinburgh regions for two nights each. Thank you.

The Trafford Bank in Inverness is receiving very good reports www.traffordbankguesthouse.co.uk or if you wish to stay south of Inverness in Drumnadrochit near Urquhart Castle think about the www.glenrowan.co.uk

In Edinburgh there are three B&Bs which get good reviews

The Clan MacDuff Hotel in Fort William is by all accounts excellent three star B&B.www.clanmacduff.co.uk

I have stayed in the Inn at Ardgour, which is between Fort William and Glen Coe. I do not think they have their own website but can be found www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/areafwil/hotels It is at the Corran Ferry but on the opposite side of the water from the main Fort William Road. The two things I had against it were that there was not a lot to do or see round about it and as the ferry started very early in the morning you were aware of it docking every 30 minutes and then you had vehicles loading and off loading.

These are 3 B&Bs run by nice people I know slightly so I'm sure they'd be good. The first is very central, being in the (Georgian) New Town and the other 2 are in Morningside, a nice residential area with good local shops 1.5 miles from the centre but on a vg bus route.
