B & B's in London

I keep hearing about the hospitality of B and B's, can anyone recommend a good one close to Oxford St./shopping/Kensington???
Thanks

B&Bs in the traditional British sense don't exist in the upscale area you mention. Oh there are 'B&B hotels' but not at typical B&B prices (about 25 pounds p.p. in double seems to be average for nice B&B outside of London. But ask one of the B&B booking agencies: www.londonbb.com; www.host-guest.co.uk; lhslondon.com (London homestay).

ditto- shamelessly trading on the good image of the B&B name! No lack of these in London, serving a breakfast a Brit would not take.

Christa7, we use London B&B service, I see PalQ, has already given you their website. If you happen to email or ring this excellent B&B service, ask for Gill, she is so helpful in finding you a B&B to your liking. Don't expect to find a cheap B&B so close to the centre of London.

Thanks for info, I have read many recommendations on using Priceline so may try that for a good hotel.
