Oi, Ieda.
Principal, onde estao as lojas e restaurantes.

Ieda--- I believed the last post was in Portuguese?. I'll try to translate because it seems like good info:
"Hi, Ieda. I was in Italy in January and I can recommend the hotels where I stayed. In Rome, the Hotel Forte (Via Margutta, 61) or the Hotel Piccolo (Via Due Macelli). They are both located near the Piazza Di Spagna, a bustling place with restaurants, shops, etc. In the three stars category, with bathroom, TV, ir conditioned, mini-bar, coffee [breakfast?] included. They are both $100 for two people. Do not be wary of the entrance to the facilities or the old elevators, inside the rooms are renovated and clean.
In Florence, the Hotel de Lanzi (Via del´Ocche). It is located a block from the Duomo and in the center of Av. Principal, with [plenty] of shops and restaurants. It has similar ammenities as the two previous hotels and it's about $90 for 2 people. Once in Venice, [try] the Hotel Panada, it's like the others (the morning cofee is excellent!). [Located] on a small side street, walking distance to [Piazza] San Marco and the Rialto [Bridge]. It came out to $75 for two people".
Hope this helps.

Oi, Maira!
Obrigada,
Ieda
P.S.: Oops.. Vc é brasileira? (Or Are you Brasilian?)

Hi Leda! (Up with a cold!) I wish I could write Portuguese as well as you, but I am just a bit familiar with the language. I somehow missed the Brazil connection and thought to try to translate for you
. Heck, it was a good exercise for me! Hope you have a great time in Italy!

Ieda...In Rome, Villa de Parco is a great b&b. It is on a main thoroughfare (Via Nomentano) on the outskirts of the city. Also, on the autobus route into Rome. We found this area very charming (in that it was a neighborhood) with very good restaurants. If you're interested in experiencing the "real people of Rome", this is a place to start. It was also recommended in Karen Brown's guide to B&B's
