B&B in Dingle

Between The Lighthouse B&B and Heaton's in Dingle (Greemount not an option)which is better?

Also still torn whether to stay in Cashel or Cahir. Which town is more charming? Any B&B blew you away? Heard much about Legends. Choosing to stay away from Carrigeen!

It would hard to characterize either Cashel or Cahir as charming. That said, both towns offer attractions of historic significance, the former providing one that is well worth a special trip.

Should you stay in Cashel, Legends would be a sound choice, as it's located a short stroll from the legendary "Rock". Also, if memory serves, Legends offers some fine dining. If you'd like to dine in a very upscale eatery, consider the nearby Chez Hans. The Cashel Hotel, also located in the shadow of the "Rock", offers a quietly elegant location for lunch.

While in Cashel, make a point to stroll down from the "Rock" to Hore Abbey. There's not much left of the Abbey to see, but the views back up to the "Rock" are well worth the walk.

Another nearby historic attraction, located north of Cashel (just outside Thurles), is the 12th century Holy Cross Abbey. The abbey is a place of pilgrimage, as it claims to possess a piece of the True Cross.

Best of luck.
